Rating : - Good intro to product line with a few BIG problems This remote is easily programmed provided you have the model numbers for all of your devices handy. There may be problems with some very off-brand devices but their device list is pretty deep and they seem to update it regularly (part of what you are paying for is this kind of support). You can also customize everything if you feel the need to. I didnt need to do much of this and most users will not.
I do, however, have one very big gripe, and that is that I still end up using two remotes all of the time. My Harmony has all of the commands that I need, but there is a noticable lag in the processing of functions with my digital set top DVR. Changing channels and going through the guides is not so bad, but if I am using playback functionality and am trying to fast forward through the commercials I am constantly having to stop, rewind, play, etc. I end up having to use my DVR remote to do away with the latency.
From what I have seen messing around with the 880, the processor may actually be faster as it did not seem to have as many issues with latency (if there was some it was barely noticable). If you dont have a DVR or dont mind commercials then this should do fine.
